Announcing our collaboration with L’Estrange

Considered produce, made as well as we can, with as much care as we can, from ingredients we believe to be demonstrably the highest quality that we can find.

Ultimately, that’s what we are attempting to do with our whiskies — none more so than our Arcadian Farm Origins; especially our organic and biodynamic whiskies, which now make up over a third of our output. It isn’t merely that these approaches to farming nourish and enrich the land through regenerative agriculture; it is that in doing so, they allow our ingredient — barley — access to a richer diet of nutrients and thus to take on the most flavour of its own.

It is natural, therefore, that we should be curious about like-minded practitioners. Those who think holistically about their produce; not merely how it is made, but with what, from where, grown how?

To date this has brought us into alignment with some of the world’s great ingredient-driven chefs. But today our provenance-driven counterparts come from the world of fashion, as we delightedly announce a collaboration with industry-shaping LESTRANGE.

Like us, LESTRANGE are driven by innovation, provenance and a belief in the superior quality found through regenerative agriculture. They do things not because it is the easiest or quickest or cheapest way, but because it is the way that yields the best result.

Rengenerating Earth

Our collaboration with LESTRANGE is a meeting of shared values between two innovators. It’s a celebration of regenerative agriculture, of supply chain transparency and a dedication to the raw material. For us, that’s barley. So, inspired by provenance and our primary natural ingredient — barley — the clothing pioneers have produced a new twist on their classic, versatile LESTRANGE The 24 Overshirt and The 24 Trouser.

Both garments derive their colour from that of ripe barleyfields, whilst on the inside of the overshirt is our Map of Provenance, celebrating the counties in which our barley is farmed. Just as our whisky is the ultimate in transparency and traceability, so the cotton used in these garmets is fully certified regenerative and traceable back to its farm of origin.

Who better then, to showcase this coming together of minds, than the team at one of our organic farms — Alan, Ross and Amy Jackson — who modelled our new uniform for Arcadian growers in their Tipperary barleyfields.

1% of all proceeds from every purchase of the LESTRANGE x Waterford Capsule will be donated towards DIRT, a charity supporting biodynamic farming and regenerative agriculture.

The LESTRANGE  x Waterford Overshirt and Trouser is available in sizes from XS-XXL. With only 100 of each we expect these Arcadian Farm Origin garments to fly. And of course, as you’d expect, if you purchase from our shop, each comes with a 100ml sample of our Organic: Gaia. So you can drink as fashionably as you dress. Get yours here.
