Micro Cuvée

Primavera

Cuvée (Feb 2022)

Shaking off the heavy oppression of wintry gloom, the countryside begins to burgeon & blossom, bursting with the verdant vitality of hedgerows, boughs – & promise. The promise of rebirth & renewal in its lush explosion of viridescence. Head Distiller Ned, with Spring in his stride, captures this vibrancy in a sap-stirring symphony of Single Farmness.

Head Distiller’s Observations

Appearance: Spring’s early morning sunrise with legs and oils that remind me of furrows in a field.

Nose: Fresh green foliage like ferns, dry fresh ploughed soil, lavender, mint leaf, lemon, orange & green apple skins, dry toast, basil, toffee sweets, Iris & crocus flowers, plums. It has a smell that reminds me of being in a field when lambs have been left out.

Taste:  Sesame seeds, ginger, pine nuts and almonds biscuits, buttery that reminds me of drinking cow’s milk from the tank, blistered Padrón peppers with rock salt, grapefruit.

Finish: Almond chocolate, green apple skin, floral notes, dryness, nougat, leaves a lingering zingy note.
