Micro Cuvée

Blood Brothers

Cuvée (Jun 2021)

Our whisky matures by the sea, though the Blood Tubs mature on the river. Small in volume, small of stature, our 35-litre Blood Tubs are the terroir reference library of ever-evolving Single Farm Origins, offering us a glimpse into the future. For this particular assemblage, Head Distiller Ned has brought together over two dozen in a vibrant cuvée that celebrates our kinship with that small band of brothers who preach the good word of terroir.

Head Distiller’s Observations

Appearance: A sun kissed amber hue with legs as slow as Val’s English.

Nose: Fresh homemade brown bread, rolled barley, marmalade, milk chocolate, a nice cuppa milky tea, flower bed, spent grains, Japanese hi-chew apples sweets, lavender, toffee, aniseed and red apple.

Taste: White pepper, chilly jam, candy apples, love heart sweets, Ириска Золотой ключик, dry but mouth-watering, rock salt, cloves. The sweet and spice are doing a tango.

Finish: Sweetness makes way to spice and then toffee and red apple peel. An appealing dryness but with an evolving finish.
