Job Overview: As a Whisky Tour Guide at Waterford Whisky, you will be the embodiment of our brand, leading Distillery Tours and providing a captivating journey through out whisky-making process. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase our commitment to natural flavours, sustainable practices, and unique methods. Your role will encompass conducting tours, hosting tastings, sharing insights about our production process, and engaging with visitors to create an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging and informative Distillery Tours for visitors, showcasing our unique approach to whisky-making and emphasising our commitment to natural flavours and terroir.
• Lead tasting sessions, allowing guests to explore and appreciate the nuances of our range of natural single malt whiskies.
• Master the details of our distillation process, from biodynamic barley to our innovative Technological Trinity, enabling you to answer visitors’ questions confidently.
• Create a welcoming and interactive environment for visitors, addressing inquiries, and facilitation discussions about whisky, terroir, and our brand philosophy.
• Assist with the merchandising team, contributing to the creation of sample sets, distributing brochures, and aiding in other promotional activity.
• Develop a deep understanding of our whisky range, allowing you to make informed recommendations to both our tour attendees and walk-in customers in our Distillery shop.
• Handle various types of visitors, from whisky connoisseurs to beginners, adjusting your approach to provide and enjoyable experience for all.
• Assist the marketing team to help plan, organise and execute various on-side and off-site events, such as whisky tastings, masterclasses, and educational workshops.
• Participate in the event setup, ensuring that all required materials and equipment are prepared and in place to ensure the smooth running of events.

Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and convey complex information in an approachable manner.
• Enthusiastic, personable, and adept at creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
• Drivers License is required for this role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing actively to the overall visitor experience and distillery events.
• Flexibility in working hours, with availability from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM.
• Prior experience in whisky or hospitality is a plus but not required, as we value unquiet perspectives and a willingness to learn.
