A new dawn 100 years in the making

Today we take a paradoxical hundred-year leap back into the past to bring you a new single malts that will change the game for our future.

Our Biodynamic – Cuvée Luna celebrates a century of biodynamics with our most intense and complex Arcadian whisky yet, available to buy from our webshop today.

Cuvée Luna is the natural next step – or, in this case, quantum leap – in our Arcadian Farm explorations and the creativity and complexity of the Cuvée Concept.

No longer merely comprising a single batch of a single vintage, Cuvée Luna – like all our Cuvée Concepts – is the product of multiple distinct distillations and vintages, individually matured before being layered, mille-feuille-style, by Head Distiller Ned Gahan for ultimate complexity.

Biodynamic spirit – that which we glean through the most esoteric form of agriculture, an uber-organic approach adopted by the world’s most revered vineyards and wineries – is responsible for our most intense and naturally flavoursome single malt of all.

As our Terroir Specialist, Angelita Hynes, puts it, when we undertake blind sensory analysis in the lab: ‘biodynamic spirit seems to have much more depth of flavour. There’s a lot of complexity. It’s almost like the attributes are speaking much louder. So a conventional farm on the very same soil, on the range of zero to fifteen on our sensory analysis scale, might have a score of seven, maybe organic will fetch a nine, but the biodynamic would get an eleven.’

Cuvée Luna marries this natural intensity with the complexity of the Cuvée Concept, bringing extra body, boldness and wholesome flavour. Revelling in flavours of deep malt biscuit, rich lemon curd and vibrant peach and grapefruits, Cuvée Luna will be an ever-present cornerstone of our range, gradually rolled out globally for connoisseurs to enjoy, but already available to purchase here.
